Efficient shredding, competent separation

The technology specialist for waste recycling and biomass treatment is located to the north of Graz. Komptech develops mobile and stationary units for shredding, screening and separation and also for composting recycling waste either for re-use as material or for energy production. Customers around the world who buy these highly efficient machines are doing their bit to ensure that garbage is being dealt with sensibly as an energy carrier in an economic and ecological manner. The visitors on our experience tour take part live in the Komptech production processes. Everyone is fascinated by the interplay of machines in the mechanical and biological treatment of waste material. Depending on the different development levels of waste recycling in the various parts of the world, garbage is either shredded to save filling space, or it is prepared in a complete and complex plant and then used as a valuable fuel in cement works where it replaces fossil fuels as an energy carrier.

A big focus of interest is the new innovation program green efficiency®, which helps Komptech machines to work at increased performance levels and consume less energy, whilst also applying the latest in emissions technologies and thus taking an important step towards massive CO2 emissions saving – to protect our environment. Does this all sound like a paradox? Possibly. But there are some things in life that you first have to learn to want to do – and then something amazing begins to happen.
